Sparking Service to the Community Through Leadership

Leadership Athens-Limestone and Limestone LEAD are two avenues for the development of tomorrow’s community leaders: one for adults and the other for students. The programs offer participants a collaborative forum in understanding the facets of our community and the services provided to its citizens.

    Limestone LEAD


    After an application and interview process, selected LEAD students will cover team building, community services, health care, local and state government, cultural arts, business and industry, and agriculture over the course of a school year. The LEAD program is designed to:

    • Build leadership skills

    • Help students develop an awareness of community needs

    • Challenge students to become engaged citizens

    • Help students prepare to serve in leadership positions within our community
