Athens-Limestone Hospital, a 101-bed, state-of-the-art hospital staffed by more than 700 employees and approximately 150 physicians, is the primary health care resource for residents of Athens and Limestone County. Hospital staff provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients.

Mother & Baby Services

ALH was the first hospital in North Alabama to offer private LDRP suites designed so that each phase of the birth experience takes place in a luxurious, family-centered setting.

Wellness Center 

Serving the community since 1999 with group fitness classes, childcare, a 75-foot lap pool, heated therapy pool, physical therapy services, cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, and massage therapy.

  • Pulmonary services, including breathing treatments, oxygen therapy, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas analysis, ventilator management, EEG, pulse oximetry, and MDI instruction

  • Surgical Services, with over 450 surgical procedures performed each month in the specialties of general surgery/vascular, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, ENT/plastics, ophthalmology, urology, podiatry, gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and pain management.

  • Tennessee Valley Family Medicine in Ardmore

The centers provide treatment for minor illness and injury while also serving as an occupational medicine clinic providing pre-employment and department of transportation physicals, drug and alcohol screening, workers’ compensation treatment, spirometry, EKG, and pulmonary function testing.
