Chamber Educational Partnerships for Workforce Development
  • Job Shadowing
    Our Job Shadowing Program is open to junior and senior high school students to help them begin identifying career interests and to learn about academic, technical, and personal skills required in the workplace.
  • Partners in Education

    Local businesses that participate in our Partners in Education program not only provide sponsorship support to the schools with which they are matched but offer educational opportunities to the students to increase their knowledge of area businesses, industries, and career paths.

  • Career Expo

    The Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce partners with the Calhoun Community College Tech Prep program, Decatur-Morgan County Chamber, and other Economic Development agencies to sponsor an expo that brings together local employers with the workforce of the future. Each year, over 1,000 students from across the area attend the expo to learn more about future employment opportunities and the education path needed to achieve those job opportunities.

  • Limestone Leaders Encouraging a Difference (LEAD)

    Limestone Leaders Encouraging a Difference, or LEAD, is the chamber-sponsored youth leadership program, presented by Regions Bank. LEAD supports local sophomore and junior high school students to build leadership skills, build awareness of community needs, challenge them to become engaging citizens and help prepare them to serve as leaders in the community.
