Each class of Leadership Athens Limestone works together on a project that commemorates their shared experience over the course of the program and creates an immediate positive impact on our community.
The LEAD program curriculum covers team building, community services, health care, local and state government, cultural arts, business and industry, and agriculture. LEAD students are chosen through an application and interview process, and participation is based upon academic performance, school activities, and community involvement. The LEAD program is designed to:
Build leadership skills
Help students develop an awareness of community needs
Challenge students to become engaged citizens
Help students prepare to serve in leadership positions within our community
